(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Millennium Resort Mussanah recently hosted more than 200 riders from the sultanate and the GCC region for the first ever Oman Bike Week.
The resort created tailor-made packages to suit the participants' requirements and organised a gala welcome dinner in recognition of the participants and sponsors.
Organised by the Oman Automobile Association (OAA) the three-day action packed event included high adrenaline events such as a stunt challenge Top Gun Show and the Motocross Gulf Open Round.
Maurice De Rooij general manager of the Millennium Resort Mussanah said "The sultanate remains a firm favourite for bike riders throughout the GCC and it is the beauty and challenge of the rugged route that makes it most attractive. This event was a great opportunity for bikers and their families to get away and enjoy the host of leisure activities at the Millennium Resort Mussanah."
Built on the site of the second Asian Beach Games the resort was also the starting point for the 2013 Tour of Oman and offers a wide range of amenities that support sporting activities. The resort also offers facilities designed to improve strength fitness and staying in shape whilst boasts five swimming pools three beach football fields a beach volleyball court an 18-hole mini golf course on site along with wholesome dining options in restaurants and lounges.
