Italy can contribute to Oman's growth in a big way: H E Paola


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) H E Paola Amadei the Italian Ambassador to Oman has said that the country can contribute to the sultanate's growth in a big way.

H E Paola was addressing the gathering on the opening day of 'Technology Days: Seminars and B2B in Oman' which is being organised by the Italian Embassy in Muscat in cooperation with the Italian Trade Agency and ANIE (Italian National Federation of Enterprises).

"Italy with its high-tech and innovative products can help Oman grow" she said. The two-day event began at Radisson Blu on Wednesday. Mariarosaria Fragasso the head of international affairs ANIE said "We are interested in the energy sector especially renewable energy. "For us the trade ties between Italy and Oman are very strong. Italy mainly exports machinery and electronic components to the sultanate."

Ferdinando Fiore the commissioner of Italian Trade Agency said "We hope to build ties with companies and various businesses in Oman." The delegation will also be meeting various officials in the public and private sectors during the visit.

"The aim of the event is to showcase high performance technologies of Italian firms start businesses and establish business relations with Omani firms. The event is also a chance for the Italian companies to seal the deals" he added.

The Italian delegation consists of six companies and ANIE that has been representing the Italian electrical engineering and electronics industry for over 70 years. The delegation comprises companies in the areas of power production transmission and distribution to technologies for railways and electricity-run transport factory and process automation.
