(MENAFN) Swedish home-appliance maker Electrolux said its gains have exceeded expectation, posting a 20 percent increase in operating income in the fourth-quarter period of 2014, Xinhua reported.
The company has reported a total of USD180 million in operating income compared to the forecasted USD173 million. The strong result placed Electrolux in a good position to continue to grow profitably in 2015.
"Cost savings in combination with higher efficiency in the production and an active product portfolio management led to a significant improvement in the operating income," president and CEO said.
