European parliament chief visits Greece


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The head of the European Parliament, Martin
Schultz, is to hold talks with Greece's new government on Thursday
amid an escalating dispute with the country's international
creditors, dpa reported.

Schultz is the first senior member of the European Union to travel to
Athens and meet with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras since Sunday's
parliamentary elections.

Schulz will discuss the economic agenda of the new government and how
Athens intends to solve its debt problems.
