(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Criminal Investigation Department, CID, at Abu Dhabi Police carried out a successful mock drill to extinguish a fire and managed to evacuate its Abu Dhabi headquarters in less than six minutes.
Colonel Ibrahim Sultan Al Zaabi, CID Deputy Head, said that the drill was carried out in pursuance of the Environment, Health and Safety Management System at the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
Colonel Al Zaabi stressed that mock evacuation drills are designed with a view to assess the readiness, preparedness and efficiency of police teams to deal with such incidents.
Al Zaabi reiterated that such drills boost the efficiency of safety and emergency entities in dealing with incidents and emergencies they may encounter. They also aim to assess the readiness and preparedness of staff members to deal with such incidents.
