(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Ministry of Interior is set to organise its fifth awareness council on Friday at Mohammed Ahmed Al Mahmoud Al Bloushi's majlis in his residence located in Al Jimi area in the city of Al Ain.
The council, held under the title, "The Impact of Social Media on Youth", will be moderated by media figure Abdul Rahman Mohammed Abdullah Al Hammadi, Editor-in-Chief of Araa News Agency.
The council will address the youth and how receptive they are to modern means of communication, as well as the emergence of social media websites, and how they influence personality development in youth. The council will also highlight the need for constant parental awareness and control to ensure that children use modern communication channels and social media platforms in a safe and responsible manner.
The MoI, represented by the Law Respect Culture Bureau, launched the first awareness council for 2015 on January 12th, in cooperation with the Security Media Department. These year-round councils are held across Abu Dhabi Emirate to discuss a variety of social issues.
