The move comes after high demand for the product drove up the price 20% and eventually depleted the entire inventory over the Christmas and Holiday shopping season.
KitchenReady a subsidiary of ReadyProducts llc released their KitchenClaws in July of 2014. This most recent [2014] Christmas and Holiday shopping season was the company's first experience managing and maintaining the necessary inventory to meet the increased sales volume that began Black Friday and carried on to Christmas Eve. The company recognizes that it was a learning experience that will help them forecast with more accuracy in the coming months. The experience will also help them as they prepare to launch new products in 2015.
"We realized that as a company we were not prepared for the holiday season" admits Patrick Jacobs customer service representative for ReadyProducts. "When we looked at our forecast for the 4th quarter of 2014 we did not anticipate that our sales would increase to that extent. In some ways that is a good problem to have but in hindsight the worst possible experience that we feel a customer can have with our product is no experience at all so we need to keep that in mind going forward to reduce or prevent such fluctuations in the future." In the end Jacobs conceded that "Ultimately the market will decide the current price. So now is a good time to buy a set of KitchenClaws."
Jacobs also stated though that the positive feedback that they have received from customers has been overwhelming. "When you see the positive comments and reviews on retail sites or you receive a personal note from a customer saying how much they enjoy your product you can't help but walk around with a sense of pride about your product."
