Germany to raise 2015 growth forecast to 1.5 percent


(MENAFN) The German government expects an economic growth of 1.5 percent this year, higher than originally projected, according to a report by the ministry of economy , The Peninsula Qatar reported.

Initially, the government had been penciling in gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 1.3 percent for this year.

Germany has a social market economy with a highly skilled labor force, a large capital stock, a low level of corruption, and a high level of innovation.

It has the largest and most powerful national economy in Europe, the fourth largest by nominal GDP in the world.
