Israel Hits Syrian Military Positions in Response to Rocket Fire


(MENAFN- QNA) Israeli Army said it fired artillery shells at dawn Wednesday at Syrian-held positions on the Golan Heights after at least two rockets struck the Israeli-controlled side of the plateau.
An Israeli army statement said Syrian Army artillery posts were targeted. Army spokesman Peter Lerner said Israel was reacting to rockets fired at Israel that were "blatant breaches of Israeli sovereignty" that would not be tolerated.
