Obama wraps up official visit to Saudi Arabia


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) US President Barack Obama departed Saudi Arabia Tuesday, wrapping up an official one-day visit to the Kingdom, during which he held talks with King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.

The US-Saudi summit talks included a number of issues regarding strategic bilateral relations, anti-terrorism, the war against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), Yemen and Syria, and Iranian nuclear program, in addition to regional and international issues of mutual interest, according to press reports.

During his visit, the US President was accompanied by Secretary of State John Kerry and National Security Advisor Susan Rice, as well as an official high-level delegation that included former Secretaries of State James Baker and Condoleezza Rice, and former National Security Advisors Brent Scowcroft, Sandy Berger, and Stephen Hadley.

Obama has arrived in Riyadh earlier today, coming from India, in an official visit to the Kingdom.
