(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Emirates Cricket Board today announced that India-based TYKA will be the Exclusive Apparel Partner for the Emirates Cricket Board and the UAE National Men's, Women's, Under 19 and Under 16 representative cricket teams.
The two-year agreement will see the TYKA logo positioned on UAE players' training, travel and playing gear, through to the end of 2016, and will make its international debut on the UAE National Cricket Men's team's gear at the upcoming 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
David East, Emirates Cricket Board's Chief Executive Officer, said; "We are very pleased to have secured this partnership with TYKA. They are fast becoming known as a manufacturer and supplier of quality performance apparel, and with the impact our teams (Men's, Women's, U16 and U19) are making, at a regional level as well as against international associates, it was of the utmost importance to source and supply our players with quality training and playing gear." UAE Men's National Cricket Team will depart for New Zealand on Thursday January 29th where they will continue to train ahead of their first game against Zimbabwe on February 19th, followed by Ireland (February 25th), India (February 28th), Pakistan (March 4th), and closing their Pool B games by facing South Africa (March 12th).
