(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) The first Spar supermarket in Oman was inaugurated in Al Khuwayr by Dr Abdullah bin Abbas bin Ahmed the chain's owner on Tuesday.
Spar is one of the world's largest food retail chain with 12500 stores across 40 countries and caters to over 11mn consumers every day.
Speaking on the occasion M Sridhar CEO Spar Oman said "The 700sq m outlet will offer a variety of fruits vegetables meat fish and bakery products. Customers will find good quality products imported from different countries with high standard of hygiene and customer service."
He added "Standing high on the pillars of service freshness value range and assortment the Spar supermarket will offer customers a new and a rewarding experience like none other. "Spar Middle East has worked closely with Spar Oman to design a customer-friendly layout and ambience bringing convenient and pleasurable shopping for discerning customers in Muscat."
The 250sq m Spar Express format was also launched in South Ghubra behind Al Asalah Towers. The Spar supermarket in Al Khuwayr will also offer free home delivery.
