France condemns bombing of hospital in Sudan

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) France on Monday condemned the bombing of a hospital run by Doctors Without Borders in the South Kordofan region of Sudan, a statement said.

The hospital, located in the town of Frandala, has now been bombed twice in seven months and the French NGO has decided to suspend its operations after the latest attack over the weekend.

"France recalls that deliberate attacks against hospitals and other places treating sick or wounded is a war crime," the Foreign Ministry said.

Paris called for the re-establishing, without delay, of access routes for humanitarian relief in the conflict zones and for a resumption of dialogue between the belligerents in the region in line with agreements reached in September 2014 between the parties.
