Microsoft honours Knowledge Oman founder Barwani yet again


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Tariq Hilal al Barwani Knowledge Oman founder has been honoured with Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Award (MVP) 2015 for the 9th year in a row and remains the only Omani to receive the highest Microsoft award since 2006.

Every year Microsoft awards exceptional community leaders around the world who voluntarily share high quality and real world expertise with other people in the society.

Barwani has been continuously supporting initiatives in colleges and universities.

On receiving consecutive awards Barwani said "I am heading on the right track in the mechanism used for sharing and supporting knowledge growth in the form of activities and projects I undertake. I am continuously working on ideas for initiating projects that are linked to supporting wealth and knowledge growth in the sultanate."

He added "We are living our promise for having our beloved country Oman continuously visible on the world IT map. Let's now work together with a focus on making 2015 another great year as well."

Barwani stepped down from the organisation he founded Knowledge Oman in October 2014 after serving seven years as its president to support leadership growth for its members.

Barwani accepts invitations from colleges and universities in Muscat and Salalah to speak and share his knowledge on the latest developments and trends in IT and trends with students and faculty members.
