(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) RAS AL-KHAIMAH, 26th January, 2015 (WAM) - H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah, has received members and chairman of the Al Shohooh Culture and Heritage Society, headed by Humaid Al Maqdahi.
Sheikh Saud hailed the role played by all social service societies in preserving national heritage, stressing the importance of preserving authenticity and legacy of the UAE community. He also pointed out the importance of encouraging popular arts and reviving national heritage with all its diversity as a feature of national identity.
Al Maqdahi made a presentation on the society's future plans and projects which would contribute towards achieving its objectives.
