Iran exports of gas condensates worth USD8b


(MENAFN) Iran exported more than 9.575 million tons of gas condensates worth USD8.65 billion in the nine months ending in December 21, an official said, Iran Daily reported.

The Director General of Pars Special Economic Energy Zone's Customs Office said that the figures show a 40- and 35-percent increase in term of value and weight respectively annually.

He noted that the gas condensates were mainly exported to China, Japan, India, Turkey, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Pakistan, Armenia, Russia, Mozambique, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Tanzania, Philippines, Kenya, Azerbaijan, Georgia, South Korea and Mexico.

Iran possesses the world's largest natural gas reserves. South Pars is estimated to contain 14 trillion cubic meters of gas and 18 billion barrels condensates.
