Oman LNG supports Al Noor Association for the Blind
The equipment funded by Oman LNG includes Perkin machines pieces of modern braille sense equipment and laptops. The fund aims to enhance and introduce a conducive learning environment for the visually impaired individuals.
The acquisition of these tools and machines will ultimately upgrade facilities offered by the association and further assist the association to realise its goals and objectives. Over RO30000 was earmarked for the delivery of the equipment to the association.
Oman LNG's Social Investment Programme funded by 1.5 per cent of the company's annual net income after tax (NIAT) has in the past extended support to recognised centres who provide care for the disabled in the society including the Al Wafa Social Centre Association for the Disabled Children Oman Association for disabled and Al Noor Association for the Blind among others.
With its involvement in the nation's social development Oman LNG's vibrant social investment programme has raised the bar on how responsible companies can engage with the wider society they operate in through an active corporate social responsibility programme that has been lauded as a thriving template for modeling public-private sector partnership that delivers many gains. H E Sheikh Mohana bin Saif al Lamki governor of North Batinah governorate presided over the ceremony which was attended by members of the association and senior officials from Oman LNG.
