Renault's GCC sales up 44 percent in 2014


(MENAFN) Renault announced that it has registered a 44 percent increase in its sales within the region during 2014, which led by Dubai resulted in the manufacturer selling 23.626 vehicles, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The French automaker said that it has sold 4.329 vehicles across the UAE in 2014, including 3.715 units in Dubai and Northern Emirates, with an increase by 39 percent, and 614 vehicles in Abu Dhabi, an increase of 4 percent.

Renault said that its main sales were of the Duster and Fluence model, which remained the best-selling European models in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, where the company also registered a strong growth of 63 percent in 2014, while in Qatar its sales grew by 10 percent and in Kuwait by 65 percent.

"Major investments have been made through our dealership network to enhance the region's coverage and get closer to our customers. Additionally, as a smart-buy, the Duster continues to be an engine of growth in the Region, with customers looking for the best value for money in the market," Renault Middle East Director said.
