Kuwaitis in Saudi Arabia feel sad at Saudi King's departure


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) A number of Kuwaiti citizens living in Saudi Arabia voiced much sorrow and sadness over the demise of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Interviewed by KUNA, they regarded the death of the Saudi king as a big loss not only to the Saudi people but to Kuwaitis as well.

The great and sincere efforts of the late Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques were not restricted to his nation and people, but they also included both Arab and Muslim worlds and even the entire world, Dhari Al-Daihani said.

He highly commended the clear-cut economic, political and social accomplishments made by the late leader in all the governorates and provinces of the kingdom.

Kuwaiti-Saudi relations were greatly developed during the late Saudi king's tenure, Al-Daihani said, pointing to his support during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait in 1990.

Nasser Al-Salem voiced grief and sadness at the departure of the late Saudi leader.

He considered his departure at this critical time as a big loss to both Arab and Muslim worlds, noting that he had exerted great efforts to maintain Arab and Islamic unity.

The Kuwaiti citizen lauded the many accomplishments made by the late Saudi leader whether when he became the crown prince of the kingdom or the king in 2005, pointing to his effort to achieve peace in the Middle East through the "Arab Peace Initiative".

The late king Abdullah bin Abdulaziz was wise in addressing issues, and adopted balanced policies on both internal and external levels which contributed to development in the kingdom, Falah Al-Sebei said.

He pointed to the late leader's many development accomplishments in economic, political, social, cultural and sports domains.

For his part, Hamad Al-Enezi hailed the late king as the "father of everyone" who extended help to the needy and affected people both at home and abroad.

He highly acclaimed the late Saudi leader's instructions for humanitarian relief convoys to different world countries regardless of gender or religion.

He also struggled to provide his people with a decent life and devoted his life to achieving comprehensive development involving all fields.
