Four people killed in two blasts in Baghdad - police


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Four persons were killed in two explosions in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, Saturday while the defense ministry announced the liberation of a village from militants' grip in the Anbar governorate.

Three people were killed and seven injured when an explosive device was detonated near a parking lot in central Baghdad, a police source told KUNA.

An explosion in Al-Ghazliya area in western Baghdad killed one person and injured five others, he added.

Meanwhile, the defense ministry said Iraqi army forces and tribesmen backed by coalition fighter jets liberated Al-Khasfa village in Anbar.

It added the operation resulted in the killing of large number of militants, and seizure of their weapons and ammunition.
