(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) US President Barack Obama extended deepest condolences, during a phone call with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Saturday, on the passing away of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud.
Obama also congratulated King Salman on assuming office as the leader of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, official SPA news agency reported.
King Salman appreciated Obama's warm gestures, and thanked him for congratulating him on his new post.
The two leaders, said SPA, also reaffirmed strong relations between the two countries.
