(MENAFN- QNA) Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi met here today with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Talks during the meeting dealt with means of bolstering relations between the two countries and relations of cooperation between Tunisia and the European Union.
A Tunisian presidency statement said the German Foreign Minister renewed congratulations to the Tunisian people for the their success in completing the transitional period, underlining his country's keenness in supporting that stage through genuine partnership between the two countries, especially in the economic field.
The German Foreign Minister arrived here yesterday on a two-day official visit to Tunisia. He is accompanied by a delegation including parliamentarians, businessmen and media men as well as representatives of the German cultural sector.
