Iraqi Army Kills 22 Militants/Corrected Repeat/


(MENAFN- QNA) Baghdad, January 24 Iraqi Ministry of Defence said 22 militants were killed in scattered areas of Anbar province in Western Iraq.

A statement issued by the Iraqi Ministry of defense said a rapid intervention force belonging to Anbar operations command managed to kill 22 Daash militants and to destroy a booby-trapped house and a motorcycle during military operations in the areas of: Al Hitawyeen, Al Harariyat and Al-Bouhadid Al-Nasser in Anbar.

For its part, Baghdad operations command said seven bodies of daash militants were found, adding that 206 booby trapped houses were cleared in northern Baghdad.

Earlier, the Baghdad operations command said an abducted person was freed with kidnappers arrested om Al-Shaab area. Meanwhile a security source in Dialy, northern Iraq, said nine tribesmen were injured in fierce clashes with daash organization in Baquba.
