Saudi inflation to reach 2.6 percent in 2015


(MENAFN) The Central Department of Statistics and Information (CDSI) data showed that Consumer Price Index for December decelerated to 2.4 percent compared to 2.5 percent in November, Arab News reported.

The CDSI data put the annual inflation for last year at an average of 2.7 percent. Foodstuffs slowed to an average of 3.3 percent, while housing inflation slowed in 2013 to 3.4 percent last year.

"For 2015 we expect inflation to be mainly subdued, but still driven by rent and housing related services as well as food prices. As such, we expect average annual inflation in 2015 to reach 2.6 percent," Jadwa Investment said.
