Dubai — A suspect who fled from a police detention recently was arrested and referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution.
The Iraqi suspect was arrested by the police and charged with theft. Pending prosecution he was transported to Rashidya police station. When the police officer who was taking him to the station was busy with some other job he escaped.
Criminal Investigation Department teams launched a hunt and combed several areas. Later they came to know that the suspect was hiding in Ajman. The officers coordinated with their counterparts in Ajman and arrested him from his hideout. He has now been charged with theft and fleeing from the police.
