Varley Group of Australia Expands U.S. Business with New Subsidiary

Varley USA to extend business services and acquire companies in aerospace & defense specialized vehicles and advanced electric motor and generator technologies
 
Washgington DC — January 20 2015 — The Varley Group one of Australia’s oldest and most advanced engineering companies recently announced the launch of a U.S. subsidiary to extend the groups business within the United States. With the expansion the Varley Group furthers its commitment to provide a comprehensive range of services and products to an international range of industry sectors.

The subsidiary headquartered in Washington D.C. will focus on growing its base in three key business areas that include; aerospace & defense specialized vehicles and advanced electric motor and generator technologies. In addition to establishing a business base for the Australian parent company in the U.S. the subsidiary is actively searching for strategic acquisitions of U.S.-based companies to further leverage Varley Group technologies and capabilities.

Matthew Hederstrom will head the U.S. team as the chief executive office and manage the strategic direction and day-to-day operations. In addition to Mr. Hederstrom the other members of the senior team include Earl “Chief” Smith II PhD senior vice president of acquisitions who will lead the team focused on identifying and securing strategic acquisitions and vice president of global business development Dan Dragoi who is responsible for Varley USA’s sales marketing and customer relations.
