Kuwait, UK discuss boosting criminal security cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Ministry of Interior's Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad met Wednesday with UK Ambassador Matthew Lodge along with a number of British Embassy's staff.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of subjects of joint interest, including boosting cooperation and coordination and exchanging expertise in the fields of criminal security, airports security support, aviation protection, and personnel training courses, the interior ministry's security media department said in a press statement.

They also addressed executive measures to achieve desired goals in order to attain security cooperation between Kuwait and UK, added the statement.

Meanwhile, the British diplomat expressed his gratitude and appreciation to Kuwait's role in boosting safety and security in the region.

The meeting was attended by the Interior Ministry's Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major-General Abdulhamid Al-Awadhi, Assistant Undersecretary for Ports Security Major General Anwar Al-Yaseen, Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality and Passport Affairs Maj.Gen. Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, and a number of senior security officials.
