UAE- Fazza shooting attracts record participants

Dubai: The 13th Fazza Championship for Shooting - Saktoun Rifle will kick off today. The championship is organised and supervised by the Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum crown prince of Dubai.



This season’s championship has attracted approximately 1600 participants — a new record. The tournament will continue until Jan. 24 at the Dubai Police Shooting Club in Ruwayyah. Souad Darwish Director of Fazza Championships Hamdan bin Mohammed Heritage Center said: “We are proud to launch ‘Fazza Championship for Shooting with the participation of contestants from the UAE and the GCC. The number of female participants has also jumped to 170 shooters.”



She added “This significant increase in the number of participants comes as a result of the constant support and encouragement of Shaikh Hamdan.”
