Saudi- Badir creates 345 jobs

King Abdul Aziz City of Science and Technology (KACST) represented by Badir Program for Technology Incubators has generated a market capitalization of SR150 million and its projects have created 345 job opportunities for Saudi youth during the first half of 2014 said its president Ibrahim Al- Suwaiyel on Monday.


Al-Suwaiyel was speaking at the inauguration of the Sixth International Conference on Saudi technology incubators which concluded Wednesday.


Business Incubation is a major strategy that supports innovation and entrepreneurship.


Suwaiyel said that the event has attracted a good number of local and international participants because of its usefulness to the nation.


The Badir project he said has created some 90 projects recently from eight private sector companies.


He noted that the program which vies to transform the Kingdom into a knowledge-based economy is licensed by the World Bank.
