Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh export revenue hit USD31.5b


(MENAFN) Official data showed that Vietnam's southern city of Ho Chi Minh (HCM) ranked top in export revenue in 2014 with USD31.5 billion and marking the ever highest annual record, Xinhua reported.

According to the city's Customs Bureau released figures, the export figure reached USD1.87 billion higher than 2013 and accounted for 21 percent of the country's total last year.

The city's manufactured and processed goods accounted for approximately 70 percent of the shipments, while forest, farm produce and seafood accounted for nearly 22 percent.

Nationwide, 23 out of the 63 cities and provinces each achieved export value of over USD1 billion, five more than in 2013, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
