Physician arrested for practising without licence in Sharjah


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) The Sharjah Police arrested a 58-year-old Pakistani physician, who was practising his profession without a valid licence after entering the country on a visit visa.

He was arrested while receiving his patients in a furnished hotel apartment in Sharjah, claiming that he could heal diabetes and other illnesses. He used to sell medicine to the patients and receive charges from them.

The police received information from the Ministry of Health about the suspect and then formed team to confirm the information. The suspect was arrested red-handed while treating a patient and receiving Dh 500 as fee.

While searching his resident, the police seized large quantity of medicines.

The police warned the public to avoid dealing with those who try to make money using such illegal methods.
