Transactions in Dubai realty market hit USD28.32b in 2014


(MENAFN) According to the latest data released by Dubai Land Department, investors' transactions in Dubai realty market totaled USD28.32 billion last year, including 41.715 buyers, a decline compared with USD32.40 billion recorded in 2013, Gulf News reported.

The figures also showed that UAE nationals led in investments in Dubai realty, accounting for USD6.20 billion from 4.452 transactions, followed by Saudi Arabian investors, who participated in 1.745 deals with a value USD1.42 billion.

Meanwhile, the value of non-Arab investments amounted to approximately to USD17.43 billion through 29.098 transactions, with Indians again accounting for the highest demographic among investors, with the size of their investments reaching USD4.9 billion from 7.353 transactions, followed by Pakistan then British investors.

'The Dubai real estate market proves many facts - topping it is (the fact) that Dubai is the ideal investment location in the Middle East and also competing with [the] top investment cities in Asia and Europe,' said the Director-General of Dubai Land Department.
