Light Earthquake Shakes Central California


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A light earthquake early Tuesday shook a region of Central California southeast of Monterey Bay, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
Roughly 700 people reported feeling the magnitude-4.4 quake, which struck at 5:21 a.m. local time.
Police in the area had no reports of damage or injuries.
USGS said that the epicenter was 27 kilometers northeast of King City. The USGS said the quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers.
