Maaden Achieves Operating Profit with SR1997 Million during 2014


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Saudi Arabian Mining Company (Maaden) announced its annual financial outcomes ending at 31 December 2014, highlighting that its operating profit raised with %231 reaching to SR 1997 million in comparison with SR603.58 million achieved at the same period in 2013.
In a press statement, Eng. Khalid bin Saleh Al-Modifier, Maaden Executive Director, said that the annual financial results showed a growth with %78.5 in sales reaching to SR10792 million in comparison with SR6047 million achieved in 2013, noting that the net profit of the company fell about %19 reaching to SR1357.3 million in comparison with SR1682.4 million in the same period last year.
'Regard with the results quarterly for the fourth quarter of 2014, the company has achieved a rise in operating profit with %1274 reaching to SR611 million in comparison with SR44 million for the same quarter of the previous year in addition to the company's sales reached about SR3478 million in the fourth quarter of 2014 in comparison with SR1455 million achieved by the company in the same period of the last year,' Al-Modifier added.
He stressed that the financial results quarterly showed that the company's net profit reached about SR376 million for the fourth quarter of 2014 in comparison with a net loss with SR29 million for the same quarter in 2013.
Eng. Al-Modifier pointed out increasing in the size of production and sales in the sectors of phosphate and aluminum boosting revenue.
