GCC FMs hold extraordinary meeting in Riyadh Jan 21

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Foreign Ministers of member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) will hold an extraordinary meeting in Riyadh tomorrow Wednesday, the GCC Secretariat said Tuesday.

The secretariat, in its statement to the press, did not disclose any details of the issues to be discussed by the top diplomats, who were expected to meet at Riyadh Airbase.

Observers, however, said the foreign ministers would primarily discuss the security situation in Yemen and the international coalition fighting the Islamic State in Iraq and Levant (ISIL).

Tomorrow meeting is held a day before a conference of the international coalition against ISIL due in London, to be attended, among other senior officials, by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
