UK's Kier signs USD220m Gulf construction contracts


(MENAFN) Kier Group, the UK-based construction group, announced that it has signed several construction contracts in the Gulf region, with a combined value of USD220 million, Arabian Business reported

These construction projects include a "100 million mixed-use development in Dubai, as well as two infrastructure contracts totaling "15 million on a major new leisure park project for the region, while in Saudi Arabia, it signed a "30 million infrastructure project, with work on all of these projects expected to start this month.

Other projects include a "105 million joint venture for a spa and hotel in Abu Dhabi, the "87 million joint venture with Mercury to build a new data centre for UAE bank, the "47 million Dubai Parks project and a "26 million project for Dubai University.

"These contract wins build on substantial growth in Kier's international business. In the last 12 months Kier has doubled its revenue and secured other prestigious projects in the Middle East for clients in the finance, leisure and education sectors," the company said.
