King visits Civil Defence Department, checks on its services


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Monday visited the Civil Defence Department (CDD) and checked on the services provided by the department in its field of specialization.

The King voiced pride at the advanced level of the CDD in line with its humanitarian mission in preserving people's lives and properties and protecting national accomplishments from various risks.

His Majesty also appreciated the efforts of CDD's personnel, especially in emergency and unusual circumstances, and conveyed his greetings to all members of the CDD for their outstanding professional performance during the snow blizzard that hit the Kingdom recently.

The CDD Director, Lt. General Talal Kofahi, briefed the King on the institutional approach adopted by the CDD in implementing various development plans and expanding its services by establishing new sites for the CDD in various parts of the Kingdom.
