Jordan Foils Arms Smuggling Bid from Syria
(MENAFN- QNA) Jordanian Border guards on Monday foiled an attempt to smuggle large amounts of weapons and ammunition from Syria into Jordan, the Jordan Armed Forces said in a statement.
Large amounts of different weapons were loaded in a car coming from the Syrian territory. the car tried to cross the border at high speed but the Jordanian troops managed to disable it and towed it to a safe place, the statement added.
The authorities are currently examining the weapons and their quantity.
