Iraq, Iran trade value hits USD12b


(MENAFN) According to the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said that the value of the bilateral trade between Iran and Iraq has reached USD12 billion, adding that Iran is seeking a 25 percent share in the Iraqi market, Xinhua reported

"An Iranian delegation to be headed by Iran's First Vice-President will soon visit Iraq to discuss further expansion of trade ties between the two countries," The Head of the Iran-Iraq Joint Chamber of Commerce said addressing a conference of economic and trade opportunities between two countries.

Meanwhile, the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) announced that Iran will begin supplying natural gas to Iraq on a regular basis by May 2015 after the countries' Oil ministers signed an agreement which will result in supplying Al-Baghdad and Al-Mansouriyah power plants in Iraq with 25 million cubic meters per day of natural gas.
