UAE, Egypt trade up 21.5 percent


(MENAFN) According to the latest data revealed by Dubai Customs, the bilateral trade between the UAE and Egypt registered a growth by 21.5 percent to reach USD3.07 billion during the January-September period of 2014, in comparison with USD2.53 billion registered during the same period in 2013, Emirates 24/7 reported.

The figures show that Dubai's imports from Egypt accounted for USD816.53 million during the cited period, while the exports value reached USD707.66 million, thus bringing the full value of the trade to hit USD1.55 billion.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian President urged the UAE-based Egyptian businessmen to invest in Egypt during his visit to the UAE, saying that country needs them, their ideas and investments.

"The government of Egypt will remove all obstacles facing the investors through easing the licensing procedures and other measures. You are invited to invest in Egypt along with Emirati and Arab investors," The Egyptian President said.
