(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Head of the Palestinian delegation to the meetings of the parliaments of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states praised the supportive stance of His Majesty King Abdullah II to the Palestinian issue, particularly those related to the protection of the Al Aqasa Mosque from Israeli violations.
In remarks at the Palestine Committee meeting held yesterday, he said that Jordan's stance under the leadership of His Majesty was clear and influential in protecting the Al Aqsa Mosque, highlighting the importance of the Hashemite custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Deliberations of the committees at the three-day conference, which officially opens in Istanbul on Tuesday, started with the participation of heads of parliaments from a number of Arab and Muslim countries.
Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh is to deliver a speech at the conference in which he will review Jordan's vision regarding various regional issues.
