Yemeni Judge and Son Shot Dead in Sana'a

(MENAFN- QNA) A Yemeni judge and his son were killed in an armed attack by unidentified gunmen north of the capital Sanaa.

A Yemeni security source said in a press statement that unidentified gunmen opened automatic weapons fire at judge President of Bani Harith Court Ahmed Al-Aassi while he was outside the court's headquarters killing him, his son, three policemen and a citizen.

The Yemeni Club of Judges last week called on the authorities to provide the necessary protection to judges and courts after a series of attacks against judges and headquarters of a number of courts in the country.

Meanwhile a Yemeni academic was killed by unidentified gunmen in the southern governorate of Ad-Dali.

Security sources said the unidentified gunmen intercepted by Dr. Jamal Mohammed Muqbil while passing in front of the Attorney Office building in Al-Dali, killing him instantly.

The sources predicted that the incident was linked to the victim's affiliation to Houthi group.
