(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Afghanistan Interior ministry says to have killed 27 insurgents during the military operations across the country.
A statement issued by the ministry on Saturday morning states that the operations were conducted in past 24 hours in Kunar, Ghazni, Herat, Paktika, Paktiya, Kandahar, Balkh, Khost and Helmand provinces, according to Khaam Press.
Six other militants were wounded and eight arrested during the operations, according to the statement.
Different types of weapons and ammunition were seized and 62 IEDs were also defused during the operations, the statement further states.
