US, Britain Agree to Fight Trrorism Together


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) US President Barack Obama and British Prime Minister David Cameron have pledged a joint effort to fight terrorism.

Obama and Cameron held talks at the White House on Friday. Their meeting came after the recent terrorist attacks in France and the foiled plans for assaults in Belgium.

According to press reports Obama said at a joint news conference that the United States will fight the threat of terrorism together with France and other countries.

He expressed a willingness to work with Britain to prevent future terrorist attacks and to eliminate the networks of Islamic extremists.

Obama also said the incidents in Paris show that Islamic extremists are actively in preparing attacks in countries.

He revealed that the United States and Britain will increase efforts to share information on Islamic militants and step up border controls.
