Grenade injures two civilians in Tripoli


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) At least two civilians were injured by a grenade that targeted military vehicles belonging to the Lebanese army in the city of Tripoli in northern Lebanon on Sunday.

Unknown gumen threw a grenade near a Lebanese army post within Al-Jihad stadium vicinity of Bab Tebbaneh, wounding two people, Lebanese National News Agency (NNA) said.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese Army forces raided Saturday a number of suspected houses in Tripoli and confiscated various military weapons and ammunition, the source added.

Tripoli and a number of cities in northern Lebanon had witnessed in recent years similar incidents where unknown gunmen targeted military vehicles belonging to the Lebanese army, killing several soldiers and wounding others.
