Latvia's current account deficit expands 15.1 percent


(MENAFN) The Bank of Latvia reported that the country's current account deficit expanded 15.1 percent in the January-September period to USD709.17 million, Xinhua reported.

In November, the country's current account deficit reached USD42.8 million compared to USD8.69-million deficit registered in November 2013 and a USD97.65 million surplus in October 2014.

The deficit of goods surged by USD19.89 million in November 2014 to USD199.4 million, while the surplus of services shrank by USD31.15 million to USD143.18 million.

The surplus of primary income valued at USD11.2 million in November 2014, while the surplus of secondary income dipped by USD19.62 million to USD2.19 million in the period.
