Peacekeeper killed in attack against UN camp in northern Mali
(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) A suicide car bombing on Saturday targeted the United
Nations contingent in northern Mali, killing a peacekeeper and
seriously injuring another, dpa quoted the UN as saying.
The explosion occurred near a UN checkpoint about one kilometre from
a UN military camp in Kidal. Both victims were from Chad, according
to a UN statement.
Another vehicle then exploded at the entrance to the camp, without
causing injuries.
