KSA Jordan sign labor accord

(MENAFN- Arab News) Saudi Arabia and Jordan signed Wednesday a memorandum of understanding on developing bilateral relations on labor affairs.The agreement was signed between Minister of Labor Adel Fakeih and Nadal Al-Gatameen Jordanian minister of labor tourism and antiquity to open new areas of cooperation in various fields like unifying recruitment procedure creating an electronic link exchanging expertise organizing training programs and resolving labor disputes.Fakeih said the agreement signing between the two ministries comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the two governments and due to strong fraternal and historical ties between the two countries.Responding to Fakeih's speech Al-Gatameen said that the agreement is the first of its kind to promote labor relations between the two countries.The International Labor Organization has commended the labor regulations followed by the Kingdom he said adding that the agreement would allow Jordan to make use of the Saudi experience in managing labor market which comprises workers from different nationalities. The agreement would help the signatories to benefit mutually in the management of labor and other allied functions.The accord also entails exchanging information and statistics on the labor market labor inspection and occupational health and work safety.
