Kuwait- MPs government working on retrieving stolen public funds
Minister of Justice Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea assured the National Assembly that he would take all required legal measures with the assistance of Minister of Finance Anas Al-Saleh in dealing with the former director's case in such a way that would not conflict with ongoing investigation into the case.
Stressing that the case is under legal investigation the Justice minister said 'in the event that the government senses that legal action can be taken separate and apart from the investigation by the public prosecutor's office then the government will go with that and exercise its role in protecting public funds.' He applauded the efforts of the National Assembly regarding this case.
A number of MPs had requested the formation of an investigatory committee to look into the case of financial irregularities at the Public Authority for Social Security.'
