Egypt, Kenya sign MoU on promotion of trade


(MENAFN) Egypt announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kenya over strengthening the countries' mutual cooperation in diverse areas like trade, peace and security, culture, education and health, Xinhua reported.

The countries' Foreign Ministries said that the memorandum focused on promoting the trade and investment ties between the two sides, as well as cultural and educational exchanges between them as well, as well as saying that they discussed strengthening their cooperation on security, agriculture and health.

'"We have agreed on a range of issues of common interest to Kenya and Egypt and have signed a memorandum of understanding to operationalize them in future. We resolved to form a business council comprising twenty officials from both countries to coordinate trade and investments. We also reviewed the status of cooperation in the defense sector," Kenya's Foreign Minister said.
